đź•’ NCCC User Tip of the Week: Explore the Timeline View
Want a quick, visual snapshot of a client’s services and referrals over time? Check out the Timeline—you’ll find it right on the Client Record Home Page in NinePatch!
Here’s how it works:
✅ The Timeline shows when a client’s record was first created in the NCCC platform, along with a chronological view of all services delivered and referrals made.
These may include referrals, appointments, or assessments that have been administered—providing a helpful overview of how the client has engaged with services.
🔲 Open referrals appear as boxes with a colored border.
🟦 Accepted or closed referrals appear as filled-in (solid) boxes, using the color of their domain:
- If a referral is sent electronically (closed-loop) and then picked up, accepted, or closed, the box becomes solid.
- If the referral is out-of-network or logged manually, it will also appear as a solid box—because there are no NCCC users at the receiving organization, and no additional updates can be tracked through the platform.
🎨 Color coding by domain helps you quickly identify the type of service:
- đźź© Green = Healthcare
- 🔵 Blue = Behavioral Health
- 🌸 Pink = Social Needs
👆 Hover over any box or click a row to view more information in a pop-up.
➡️ As time goes on, the Timeline may grow beyond what fits on one screen. Use the arrows at the bottom or click “See More” to scroll and explore additional entries.
🎥 Need a refresher?
Watch the Timeline training video by heading to the Training Materials section under User Tools (click the support cog icon in the upper right-hand corner of the platform).
The Timeline helps you understand a client’s history at a glance—what’s happened, what’s open, and where support may still be needed.
